Jack Island Race
The Jack Island Race is open to all double-handed yachts that have registered for the Anacortes Yacht Club distance & buoy races and have a race packet. The event consists of a race from the Refinery Pier to the R4 Buoy Southeast of Jack Island and then return. Other than the rounding this mark no course is specified. This is the shortest club distance race of the season.
What is unusual about this race is that while there is only one start, there are several different divisions:
Double-Handed
Jack & Jill (mixed pair)
3 Score & 10 (pair over 70)
While non double-handed boats are welcome to participate in this event, they will not be scored. Details of this popular event are as follows:
