We purchased Paper Moon in late 2007, after searching the west coast for an Ericson Independence or Cruising 31.  The hulls are identical, with differences in layout only, and less than 80 total hulls were made.  All of our sailboats have been traditional, and Paper Moon fits the bill nicely.  Originally rigged as a cutter, with a clipper bow and exterior rudder, we think she's beautiful!  Chuck has cruised Paper Moon to Desolation Sound, where a rigging failure resulted in our introduction to Andy Schwenk (and later the Anacortes Yacht Club), but Bonnie prefers shorter trips in the San Juan and Gulf Islands.
