Scoring

All distance races will be scored using the time-on-distance method as prescribed by PHRF Northwest with the course distance as prescribed in the race packet.

All other races will be scored using the time-on-time method as prescribed by PHRF Northwest using the following formula:

TCF = 650 / (520 + PHRF)
Corrected-Time = TCF * Elapsed-Time

Scoring for individual races will use the low point system outlined in the RRS, appendix A section 4.1, except: Section 4.2, is amended so that:

1. Did not finish, DNF, will be awarded points according to the number of finishers in that boat's class for that race + 1.
2. Disqualified, DSQ, will be awarded points according to the number of starters in that boat's class for that race + 2.
3. Did not start, DNS, will be awarded points according to the number of starters in that boat's class for that series + 1.

Results for Wednesday evening buoy races are typically presented at the end of the barbeque following the racing. All race results (buoy or distance) will be posted on the club website within 24 hours following the completion of any event.
